Neon is gorgeous.

Beautiful: I will never forget the first concert I ever went to... New Kids On The Block Step by Step world tour. I remember begging my older sister Maureen to take me and some of my 10-year-old friends to see them. Being the cool sister she is, she waited (more like camped out on the sidewalk with me) to get tickets. It was crazy! We waited 18 hours in the Ticketmaster line (that went on for miles), in the rain, just to see my beloved Jordan Knight! On the day of the concert, I was all decked out in my NKOTB t-shirt and all I could remember was how overwhelming it was to be there -- the screaming fans, seeing the heartthrobs in dancing action, and the neon lights that were everywhere! It was a beautiful coming of age moment I will never forget!

Gorgeous: Neon is gorgeous! Really. Are you brave enough to try incorporating neon into your Summer makeup look? The answer is YES! If you are like me, you probably tend to stick with a makeup look that works for you on a daily basis, right? But, what if I told you that it's super easy and cheap to incorporate this fun trend? Would you try it? All skintones can pull it off and wearing a neon colored lipstick allows you to get away with wearing LESS makeup since you don't want to overwhelm your look! We all can appreciate that during the summer months!

Makeup: Every brand has made it so easy for us to try neon this summer. It's everywhere. From Rimmel to Chanel you can find neon in lipsticks, lip glosses, eyeshadows, and nail polish. Here are my neon picks!

1. Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids {$5.54} in Fuchia Flash, Vibrant Mandarin & Vivid Rose (worn above)

2. Rimmel Volume Flash ScandalEyes Mascara {$5.49} in Black (worn above)

3. Revlon Nail Art Expressionist {$8.99} in Monet, Pinkasso & Pop Art.

Do something lovely: This Sunday, I am taking my lovely sisters to the New Kids On The Block concert here in Phoenix! If you are apart of Block Nation, perhaps I'll see you there? I'll be there rockin' my neon lipstick!

Special thanks to my sister Maureen for making my dream come true and taking me to my first concert. You even let me believe that Jordan actually waved to me (sigh)! You will always be the coolest!
