Love is beautiful.

Beautiful: Love is beautiful. I always enjoy seeing old couples together. There is something so romantic and beautiful about their stories. I once asked a couple (that I met while traveling on a plane to San Francisco) what their secret was to their 75 year marriage. They both looked at me and said, "date night." When our plane landed, the woman whispered to me, "When you get to 75 years, the gift is diamonds!", then winked as they walked away holding hands. It is this story that was my inspiration for our first Beauty Guide film. This first video is dedicated to hopeless romantics everywhere!

Gorgeous: When I first discovered I Do Films , I was taken by all of the gorgeous images and love stories they capture on film. I was excited to learn that this Chicago based company recently expanded into Phoenix! I knew we would be a perfect match in bringing the Beauty Guide tutorial to life. Just take a peak at their work, it's amazing!

Makeup: Beauty Guide: How to apply faux lashes. Adding fake eyelashes to your makeup look is a quick and inexpensive way to go from a day-to-night look. This application process only takes 10 minutes and looks great on everyone! Even if you have an allergy to latex adhesive, the good news is Ardell makes a latex-free eyelash adhesive called Ardell Lash Tite Latex-Free Eyelash Adhesive.

This technique works for me and I hope helps simplify the process of putting on faux lashes!

Do something lovely: It is so fun to get all dressed up and go on a lovely date with your special someone! Try adding some faux lashes to your lovely look!

Special thanks to Jeremy from I Do Films for partnering with me to make this film. You are so talented and creative. I will say I knew you when!

Gals are gorgeous.

Beautiful: Galentine's Day is beautiful. I have been celebrating Galentine's Day for as long as I can remember with my sisters and friends in February (thank you Amy Poehler for finally giving it a name). It has always been a day set aside to celebrate our bond of friendship and sisterhood. We usually meet for brunch, dinner, or cocktails and laugh for hours as we recap the year before! Everything from job promotions to makeup is discussed!

Gorgeous: Gal pals are gorgeous. They are here to cheer us on, pick us up, and have our backs. Some of them we have known our entire lives, some we have met along the way, and some we briefly encountered yet felt like we were one in the same.

Makeup: On Galentine's Day we exchange a small gift with one another (since we no longer do it on birthdays or Christmas). I wanted to share with you some great beauty gift ideas that your besties will love!

1. Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose...$22.50. Details: This is one of my favorite lip treatments that feels good on and adds a hint of color!

2. Chanel Nail Polish in Infidele...$27. Details: I love that Chanel has special edition colors! It makes getting this polish so special knowing only a few will be sold.

3. Trish McEvoy Define & Shine Nude Lip Collection...$32. Details: Love the price point for this set! How many of us are always looking for the perfect nude lipcolor?

4. Tarte Cheek Stain in Natural Beauty...$30. Details: By far, one of my favorite products. I've used it on my cheeks and lips when I was in a pinch and needed some color!

5. Rebecca Minkoff Mani/Pedi Pouch...$55. Details: How cute is this? Great to store all your Chanel special edition nail polishes!

6. Flapperdoodle notecards & illustration...Etsy. Details: Kate Gabrielle is the owner of the Etsy shop Flapperdoodle. She creates all of these cute and original illustrations (BFF best friend art print & Audrey Hepburn notecards above). Adorable! I ordered the notecards to gift!

Kate, perhaps Galentine's Day cards next year?

Do something lovely: Plan your own lovely Galentine's Day (if you don't already have a date on the calendar). It's so fun to recap the previous year and talk about what the future holds!

Special thanks to the gals that have: made me laugh, cheered me up, showed up, promoted me, wiped my tears, held my hand, taught me how-to swaddle a baby, told me not to get bangs, let me put makeup on them, believed in me, bought another round, watched Twilight with me, inspired my education, and have read this blog! Love you all!

Spring is gorgeous.

Beautiful: Spring is beautiful for so many reasons, but I love spring for two main reasons. First, I love the bold and bright makeup colors that accompanies Spring. Second, in Phoenix, we host  MLB Cactus League Spring Training. For those of you who have never been to a Spring Training game, it's a must! The weather is perfect, the scenery is beautiful, and we have 15 out of the 30 MLB teams (everyone from the Angels to the Cubs)!

Gorgeous: If you are planning on visiting Phoenix or Flordia (Grapefruit League for my East Coast friends) to see some of your favorite baseball players in action, I put together 5 Spring makeup trends that will help keep you looking gorgeous while enjoying America's pasttime!

Makeup: This Spring it's all about glowing skin, bold brows, color pop lips in crimson and fuschia, lush lashes, and green and blue eye makeup. I like to focus on one trend at a time so it doesn't overwhelm your look. Here are some picks to help freshen-up your Spring.

1. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance...$32. Details: This primer is amazing! Not only does it extend the wear of your foundation, it also adds a dewy glow to your skin!

2. Bare Ecentuals Brow Powder...$11. Details: This is one of the most natural looking brow powders that I have ever used. It's smudge-proof, and easy to blend. You can also apply it wet for a more distinct and bold look.

3. Sephora False Eyelashes...$10. Details: Wearing faux lashes is an easy way to take your eyelashes from lovely to lush! These lashes are great quality and I love the look!

4. Nars Mad Mad World Eyeshadow Duo...$34. Details: This eyeshadow duo is apart of the Nars Spring 2013 collection. Some of you may be thinking that these eyeshadows are a bit too much to pull off, but they are actually really beautiful on. You can use the shadows as an eyeliner to add just a pop of color!

5. Stila Color Balm Lipstick  in Natasha...$22. Details: For lips, it's all about adding a crimson or fushia (also try Stila Color Balm in Betsey) to your lips. These have become an instant favorite of mine. They go on super smooth and have great pigment. Plus they smell like peppermint! Lip balm and lipstick in one!

Do something lovely: Woudn't it be lovely to bask in the sun and get a tan all while rooting for your favorite baseball team? Even if you don't know much about baseball, I promise it will be a great time! Grab your gals or special someone and enjoy!

Special thanks to my Dad who taught my sisters and I all about baseball ("there's no crying in baseball!"). Even though we don't have any brothers, and it was always just us girls, it never stopped him from proudly taking us out the ball game!
