Laughter is beautiful.

Beautiful: Laughter is beautiful. I believe there is something about laughter that brings out a person's inner beauty. When Angela and Mike asked me to help them with their Halloween costumes this year, I quickly agreed. I knew it would be a night of pure laughter and fun! When I told them my idea was to transform them into Gotye and Kimbra from the Somebody That I Used to Know music video, they both looked at each other and started laughing! Then, immediately said yes. I knew it would be a perfect fit!

Gorgeous: Angela and Mike are living proof of my belief that inner beauty is a direct reflection of outer beauty. Look at them! They are two of the most sweet, caring, and hilarious people I know and it shows on the outside. I am so lucky to have them in my life to remind me to laugh more. As I often do when I'm with them.

Makeup: Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays! It is so fun to transform into someone else for one night. I wanted to create the Gotye and Kimbra Somebody That I Used to Know look for Mike and Angela using real makeup. To create the artwork inspired colors for their faces and bodies I used Make Up For Ever 12 Flash Color Case. It's an amazing palette. You can create any color by mixing base shades. True makeup artistry! Here is how-to create your special look with your favorite muse this Halloween!

The Look: Gotye and Kimbra Somebody That I Used to Know music video.

Angela - Face Primer: Bare Escentuals Prime Time. Foundation: Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. Concealer: Make Up For Ever #5 Camouflage Cream Palette. Cheeks: Bare Escentuals Faux Tan Bronzer, Benefit Bella Bamba. Eyes: Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Shadow Primer, MAC Nylon Eyeshadow, Sephora Jumbo Crayon Liner in Gray Glitter, MAC Carbon Eyeshadow. Lips: MAC Creme D'Nude. Body: Make Up Forever 12 Flash Color Case

Mike - Face & Body: RCMA Kehoe Color Palette in KO-2 & Make Up For Ever 12 Flash Color Case

Do Something Lovely: This Halloween I hope that you are in the lovely presence of family, friends, or your special muse. After all the Halloween candy has been given out and the pumpkins have made their Halloween destiny, take some time to unwind and laugh. Perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to look at old photos of Halloween costumes past and laugh!

Special thanks to Angela and Mike for agreeing to go with my idea of Gotye and Kimbra and allowing me to turn their kitchen into my own private makeup studio for a few hours. You guys are the best and I love you to pieces! Thanks for the laughs!

Strength is beautiful.

Traci Lebo, Breast Cancer, Nars Andy Warhol Collection

Beautiful: Family, friendship, and love. These things are truly beautiful. During our best times and our dark times, we can always rely on our family and friends to be there to remind us, to take us back, or to bring us back. It is the greatest gift. I am fortunate to have my handsome husband Brian, the loves of my life, our sons, Dean and Dylan, my sisters and soul mates Maureen, Toni, and Angela, my loving parents, my beautiful goddaughter Allison, adorable nephew Jonathan, my cool and kind-hearted brother-in-laws, David and Mike, and dear friends like Traci Lebo (above).

Gorgeous: Traci is gorgeous. I will never forget the moment I learned that Traci has Stage 3 breast cancer. "It's not so bad", she writes in an email, "I'm bald now, but prefer to wear head wraps or scarves. I feel like JLO with my big earings, glasses, and head wraps!". Traci is beautiful on the inside and out and it shows! Even with her fight against cancer, she is still up beat, positive, and sunny. She is a free spirit and is determined to beat what she has coined "cancer schmancer". I know she will!

Makeup: When I asked Traci if she would like to be apart of a photo shoot celebrating real women and real beauty, she excitedly agreed! I wanted her to have a day of fun, pampering, and laughter. That's exactly what we had!  She is a makeup girl and a makeup artist. We worked together at Bare Escentuals but I have never actually done her makeup. I was a bit nervous simply because I wanted to create a look that would help celebrate and showcase her inner beauty. Mission accomplished. It was perfect!

The Look: Blondie - I used the new Francois Nars Holiday 2012 Andy Warhol Collection. The Nars limited edition makeup is driven from his longtime admiration for Andy Warhol. The collection is pop art meets makeup. Fun and fierce. Just like Traci!

Traci - Foundation primer: Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Primer. Foundation: Chanel Perfection Lumiere. Concealer: Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Peach & Eve Pearl Magic in Trio A. Cheeks: Smashbox Bronze Lights in Suntan Matte, Nars Orgasm Blush & Smashbox Artifical Light. Eyes: Nars Andy Warhol Debbie Harry Eye Palette Collection, Dior Show Blackout Mascara & MAC Fluidline Gel Eyeliner. Lips: MAC Sheen Supreme in Good To Be Bad & Nars Andy Warhol Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Silver Factory

Do something lovely: October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I encourage you to donate time, money, or support to help fight against this disease. Please think of lovely Traci and all other women out there going through this. You can follow Traci's journal on her SupportPlanner which documents her progress at www.caringbridge.com enter TraciLebo. There is a fundrasing campaign going on to help her with medical and living expenses as she goes through chemotherapy and is not able to work full-time. You can purchase a Traci T-shirt by contacting Laura@SweatChallenge.com.

Special thanks to Traci Lebo for allowing me to share her story and for all the endless memories we have together in San Francisco and to Heather at Heather Bennett Photography for capturing Traci's true beauty.
